The Yorkshire village that gets more sunshine than most UK holiday spots

A charming Bradford village has been named as one of the UK’s sunniest staycation destinations.

Surrounded by rolling moors and bursting with history, Haworth attracts thousands of visitors every year.

Dubbed a literary mecca, the village, which is three miles from Keighley, is famed for being the former home of the Brontë sisters.

Many tourists are also charmed by the wonderful tea rooms, quirky souvenir and antiquarian bookshops, restaurants and pubs.

The village was also named as one of the top ten hotspot locations for sunny staycations in the UK.

Haworth racks up a total of 1,573.6 hours of sun every year which is way above the UK annual average of 1,493 hours, according to a map created by My Favourite Voucher Codes.
