Language of Love inspires romantic holiday surge as Costa del Sol bookings soar

The Costa del Sol has surged in popularity as a holiday destination following launch of Channel 4’s new dating show, Language of Love.

New data from holiday firm On the Beach can reveal people are falling head over heels for Spain’s sunshine coast, with bookings soaring by 40 per cent following the launch of the international dating show filmed in the region of Andalusia.

On the Beach’s top 10 hotels in the Costa Del Sol include (prices for hotels currently open):

With Valentine’s Day on the horizon, Spain and the Canary Islands remain top of the wishlist for couples looking for a romantic short break. The top five destinations for couples travelling between February9-14, include:

  1. Canaries (51%)
  2. Spain (16%)
  3. Egypt (7%)
  4. Portugal (5%)
  5. Cyprus (4%)
