STILL looking for a last minute idea to keep you and the family entertained over the three-day May bank holiday weekend?

Here we list five fabulous events happening in Hampshire that you and the kids will be sure to enjoy.

1) Circus Extreme, Mayflower Park, various show times

Merging modern and contemporary styles with extreme stunts and classic clown escapades, audiences will be amazed by the jam-packed Circus Extreme production which features show-stopping performances that will have you on the edge of your seat.

Acts include the Ayala Troupe, who will be performing their award-winning high wire act which has never been seen before in the UK.

The Extreme freestyle motocross team will be bringing jaw-dropping stunts to the Big Top as pilots fly through the air displaying cliff-hanger stunts. The stunt riding team will also be performing the Globe of Death.

Walking the slack wire is Tatiana Kundyk showcasing her incredible balancing skills all performed in a distinctive style for this new production.

2) Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Beacon Trail, around Southampton, from Sunday

An augmented reality story trail around Southampton to celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee gets under way on Saturday.

As part of local plans to celebrate the occasion, Visit Southampton has teamed up with High Street Safari to run the free event until June 12.

Players with a smartphone can discover cute characters along the route, see them burst to life in augmented reality and take selfies and record videos with them.

The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Beacon Trail has seven stops to visit. Families will be guided by Sir Barnaby Beacon as he visits the likes of Charlie Crown and Theodora Throne, who have come to life from Buckingham Palace.

3) Southampton v Crystal Palace, St Mary’s Stadium, Saturday 3pm

IT’S your last chance to see Saints at home on a weekend this season.

With the season finale against Liverpool to be moved to a midweek fixture as The Reds compete in the FA Cup Final, Saints take on Crystal Palace at St Mary’s at 3pm on Saturday.

Captain James Ward-Prowse is in blistering form, having scored another belting direct free kick in the draw with Brighton last weekend as he nears David Beckham’s Premier League record.

Another star of the season, Tino Livramento, suffered a nasty injury at The Amex Stadium on Sunday.

13th placed Saints will go into the match with The Eagles, who sit two points behind them in 14th, looking to climb the table.

4) BBC Gardeners’ World Spring Fair, Beaulieu, all weekend

The BBC Gardeners’ World Spring Fair returns to Beaulieu this weekend following last year’s sell-out event.

Promising a glorious gardening day out, visitors can expect a feast of plants and flowers, garden inspiration, expert advice and shopping all set in the stunning grounds of Beaulieu with tickets including entry to Palace House and the National Motor Museum.

Bringing the magazine pages to life, editors of BBC Gardeners’ World Magazine take to the stage, along with BBC2 Gardeners’ World presenters Adam Frost, Joe Swift and Frances Tophill, with seasonal tips to help visitors get the most out of their Spring gardens, wildlife, sustainability and planting choices.

5) Bluebell Walk 2022, The Holywell Estate, Swamore, Saturday and Sunday

The Murray Parish Trust’s popular Bluebell Walk at the Holywell Estate returns on Saturday and Sunday.

This is a unique opportunity to walk in the stunning private grounds of the Holywell Estate, by kind permission of the Earl and Countess of Clarendon.

Enjoy the fabulous display of spring bluebells as you take a stroll around the woodlands, river meadows and historic parklands situated in the South Downs National Park in the unspoilt rolling countryside of the Meon Valley.

Grounds open at The Holywell Estate, Swanmore, Hampshire. at 10:30am with parking available on site. Walks start at 11 am with the last walk at 2 pm.

The Bluebell Walk takes approximately one to one and a half hours set over a distance of 3 miles.

Activities for children include a Wishing Tree and a nature trail.
